I’ve been using MyFitnessPal to monitor my clients’ diets for almost 17 years.

A healthy diet is an absolute must regardless of what your fitness goals are. Your body needs to be fueled properly to maximize performance both mentally and physically. Exercise alone—and weight loss drugs—do not provide your body with nutrition, and without proper nutrition, the body cannot function as it should.

This app and site make it easy to track your calories, protein, fat, carbohydrates, sodium, sugar, and more. As your trainer, I am able to monitor your logs from my own app and computer, keeping me up to speed daily on how you are faring in your nutritional goals, and helping us make sure you’re getting what you need and eliminating what you don’t.

It is free. The premium version does have some nice features, but aren’t neccessary.
